For senior portraits in the summer, you have to prepare. For senior portraits anytime in Houston, you just have to know it’s going to be hot. Emily’s mom had packed and prepared for Emily’s session on the hottest day of the summer.

Summertime portraits in the heat of Houston
They arrived with a red wagon full of the summer essentials: misting spray, towels, and a portable fan. They had extra makeup and a hairbrush for flyaways and a handheld mirror.
For her session, we headed near the Houston Zoo for modern, natural portraits. The sun was so intense that day, and both her mom and I were drenched in sweat. But Emily looked amazing the entire time.
A modern and feminine senior portrait
Emily’s senior session is full of flowers and modern architecture. She has a great contrast of bold colors and cool, concrete backdrops.
So many girls have told me this year that Emily’s blue dress is one of their favorites. They love how the dress flows when she spins. And it’s a great color!
More about Emily
Emily is a Friendswood High School grad. She’s counting down the days until she is at Mississippi College. Emily wants to be an Elementary School teacher. And she hopes to return to Friendswood someday to make that a reality!
“I think my biggest accomplishment would be being a part of the 50th Annual FHS musical- The Hunchback of Notre Dame. I worked my tail off to make musical and it was such a dream come true.”
“Some things few people know about me are:
1. I still put on my pointe shoes and dance around in my room
2. I have a fear of birds and bananas (weird I know)
3. I actually love taking tests”
