The beautiful and oh-so-sweet Sydney wanted to do her senior portraits at Discovery Green. But really, her session was two parts. The first half of her senior portrait session we did at the Sugar and Cloth Color Wall, which was a total blast. When we finished there, we elbowed our way through the post-Astros-game crowd to finish our session at Discovery Green. There is an overwhelming amount of variety at this downtown park, and the evening light there is just perfect. A lot of it bounces off the great glass buildings, providing that perfect reflected sun that is great for senior portraits.
Sydney has that perfect gentle yet confident personality that makes her so easy to be around, and even easier to photograph. I really can’t choose a favorite from this senior portrait session!
Let’s mean-mug in front of this giant bush.
Spin around and flip that hair!
Let’s dance! (Okay, she’s too cute!)
If you’re more interested in a downtown location, we love to photograph senior portraits at Discovery Green, but we are also up for trying out unique and lesser known locations. We are definitely not the kind of photographers/humans who want to use the same location over and over again, with the same poses and “looks”. We only photograph for “creatives”, those who want to document this turning point in a special way. There are a variety of ways we can do this, and we’d love to hear your ideas and plan an authentic portrait session with you that gives you awesome images.
It’s best not to wait, as we only take a limited amount of seniors, and our calendar fills up quickly. A huge benefit of having your senior portraits taken care of by August is you’ll have them ready for all the important banquets and celebrations throughout your senior year, and you’ll still have that awesome summer tan! And trust me, once the school year starts, it will be such a whirlwind from beginning to end. You’ll be glad you took care of it at the start!
