When I met up with Katie for her senior pictures at 1776 Park, I knew right away we were going to have a great session. Katie has an energetic spirit and is so full of life, and that energy is contagious. She was all smiles and laughs and walked with such hope and ambition. She towered above me on her no-nonsense heels but took strides with ease, even over the tree roots and uneven trails as we walked to the back of 1776 Park for her senior pictures. Between the giggles and stories of clumsiness, I learned that Katie had been heavily involved with volleyball, but this year she dabbled in soccer and track as well. “This is my senior year and I just want to try it all,” she had said. And why not? I could tell that Katie is not one to sit on the sidelines of anything, and that she will be bold enough to step out later in life and pursue whatever it is her heart leads her to do.
Katie’s senior pictures at 1776 Park had a bit of a bohemian style. She chose a stylish off-the-shoulder blouse from The Find Auctions that was just too cute! Her lively and colorful romper completely matched her personality and went well with her skin tone and the springy, outdoor feel we were going for. Taking senior pictures at 1776 Park is fantastic this time of year when the small yellow blooms are popping up and the grass and trees are at their newest and brightest colors. There’s also a spot under a bridge that, when the sun hits just right, gets rich golden light and adds an amazing amount of depth and richness to your senior pictures.
