If there’s any senior this year who has had an extremely clear vision of what they wanted, it would be Anna when she told me about having her senior portraits in the League City Historic District. Anna is homeschooled and is hoping to attend A&M University in the fall. Her favorite pastimes are dancing (which she does nearly full time), singing, running, and writing.

Anna really connects with an Old Town, classic country vibe. She loves the old buildings that have a story to tell and beautiful wildflowers and open fields that do nothing but inspire. For her portraits in the League City Historic District, she brought the wardrobe to match the setting: boots, sunflowers, and light summer dresses. Because she has been dancing for years and doesn’t know for how long she will continue after high school, we made sure to photograph her with her ballet shoes as well.

The thing that brings me the most joy about photographing graduating seniors is their unstoppable enthusiasm for life. They are just at the beginning of it all, with endless possibilities within reach. Anything is possible and everything is theirs to decide. The world is their oyster. I love the freeness with which seniors talk and see the world. With Anna, it is no different. She looks to her faith to guide her every day and treats others with kindness and gentleness. She faces serious, hard matters with confidence and strength, but she’s definitely not afraid to cut up and get crazy. As a result, I am so glad we get to photograph her all year long because her joy is endless and her compassion is contagious.

Most of all, Anna, I am so excited for what the future holds for you!
